The Yankees have been in a bit of a slide lately. Pitching in particular has been to blame. Inconsistency has plagued the unit and it seems that nobody on the staff can get outs when they need to. Not all hope is lost, though. The Yankees have a slew of options to solve their current pitching problems.

The one constant in recent years that has been associated with Yankees pitching has been Larry Rothschild. Despite having some of the best arms in all of baseball, they've found ways to under-perform. It took far too long to fix Luis Severino's pitch-tipping issue last year, and while that isn't the case with the Yankees right now, it's indicative of the fact that Rothschild might be doing more harm than good.

The starting rotation is in dire need of some help. Masahiro Tanaka is the only start to make it through the sixth inning in over a week. The Yankees have been in the market for another starter for a while now, and with Luis Severino sidelined until after the All-Star break, a trade for a guy like Madison Bumgarner or Max Scherzer would stabilize the rotation, though it would cost a lot.

Adams has bounced back and forth between the minors and majors this year, but at this point, he deserves to stay up for an extended period of time. He owns a 3.97 ERA in relief this season. The bullpen sports a hideous 5.98 ERA in the month of June and could use some young blood to stay fresh in what has been a taxing stretch of baseball.
