Labour Party experiences 'sophisticated and large scale cyber attack'

The Labour Party has said it has experienced a “sophisticated and large scale cyber attack” on its digital platforms.

A Labour spokeswoman said the attack “failed” because of the party’s “robust security systems”.

The party is confident no data breach occurred, the spokeswoman said.

She added the matter has been reported to the National Cyber Security Centre.
