Jerry Jones clearly thinks the world of Dak Prescott.

During a radio show interview on Friday, the Dallas Cowboys owner was asked which former Cowboys quarterback does Prescott remind him of. He responded by saying that he doesn't remind him of any former Cowboys, but does have some similarities to New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

What, precisely, is Jones trying to say here? The Cowboys owner states Prescott has some similarities to Brady only to immediately suggest he's no TB12. We're just as confused as you are.

The statistics are fairly close between the two. Through Dak's first 52 games, he is 35-17, with 66.6% of his passes completed for 12,019 yards with 76 touchdowns and 28 interceptions. In Brady's first 52 games, he went 40-12, with 61.8% of his passes completed for 11,570 yards with 80 touchdowns and 43 interceptions.

The big difference between Brady and Prescott has been Brady's Super Bowl titles, as he had already won two rings up to that point, and was gearing up for a third championship win in 2004. Prescott has yet to find that postseason success, as he is 1-2 and has yet to get to the NFC Championship game.

Clearly, Prescott is not at that level yet, but Jerry is right in saying that Dak is evolving into a player that can beat a team with awesome play. However, Prescott is going to have to learn how to carry a franchise if he wants to continue his path to being an NFL great. Right now, Dak isn't in that conversation.
