On Sunday, as the country sat glued to its television screens for close to 10 hours, team India celebrated another victory in the ICC World Cup 2019. Sunday’s Team India vs. Pakistan was, undoubtedly, one of the most-awaited matches for the citizens of the country, bollywood celebs included. After India’s victory on Sunday night, many Bollywood actors and celebrities took to Twitter to congratulate Team India. Here’s what they said:

Actor Rishi Kapoor, who is currently in the USA for his ongoing cancer treatment, congratulated as well as motivated team India for the World Cup finale. “#Worldcup2010 is within your reach,” he wrote.

Salman Khan posted a photo of himself from the film Bharat and wrote “Congratulations team Bharat... from #Bharat.”

“India India!!!! What a win,” cheered Tamannaah Bhatia.

Riteish Deshmukh too tweeted about the match.

Anil Kapoor shared screenshots of the match and wrote, “All eyes were glued to the screens today! A fantastic match & a great win! Sunday well spent! Congratulations #TeamIndia!! #IndvsPak #CW19 #CCWorldCup2019 @BCCI”

Actors Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma were spotted at the World Cup on Sunday in Old Trafford, Manchester. While Anushka is there to support husband and Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli, Ranveer was anchoring the preview show for Star Sports and is also one of the commentators for the match.

The Simmba actor has started shooting for his film 83 in Glasgow and thus had all the more reason to attend this World Cup match. He’s playing the role of Kapil Dev in the film, depicting the journey to India’s iconic win in the 1983 World Cup. Ranveer’s surprise visit to the match was nothing more than a pleasant sight for the fans for whom Bollywood and cricket came together. He was there with an illustrious panel of commentators like Sunil Gavaskar, Irrfan Pathan, Sachin Tendulkar, Harbhajan Singh and more.
