Cleveland Cavaliers star forward Kevin Love is withdrawing from Team USA, according to Shams Charania of the Athletic. In a week where the national team has lost stars like Damian Lillard and DeMar DeRozan, Love is the latest to drop out.

With the Cavaliers most likely to be a lottery team again this year, trading Love appears to be in both parties' best interest. I'm sure Love would enjoy being a key piece on a contending team, and the Cavaliers could acquire assets for the future to pair with young guards Darius Garland and Collin Sexton.

Love would fit nicely on most NBA rosters. He's a big man who can shoot, rebound and has a nice game in the post. His championship experience and strong leadership qualities would make him a valuable asset to a team like Boston, Portland or Indiana (to name a few).

For now, we'll have to wait and see if Love ends up getting shipped to a new team before preseason arrives. At this point, it feels likely to happen.
