“It was quite a night!” Iva Barr, 91, from Bedford told Charles when they met at a Buckingham Palace Garden Party he was hosting, accompanied by his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall and sister The Princess Royal.
Ms Barr - who was presented with the British Empire Medal for her charity work and for being the oldest ever marathon runner ever,
She quit marathon running in 2016 added, “He said he would definitely tell the Queen that he met another person who was there that night.
“I told him that it was the most incredible party ever. I love the royals and it is a honour to be here at the Garden Party,” she said.
She added, “I joked that there were a lot of good looking guys around in uniform that night and he burst out laughing.”
